This is a common issue for creatives that make things. We all have active imaginations; we can visualize lots of things.  Then the distractions come into play. We are drawn to the new shiny project or derailed by a project that we have to do to make money to keep the bills paid.

How to do more projects

  • Increase your skills so you can work faster and do more
    • Increase efficiencies
  • increase your tooling to increase your capacity
  • Increase your design skills to make it easier to build
  • Batch things out
  • Shop organization
    • Adam Savage’s 1st order of retrieval
  •  The Power Hour, every day, put in an hr in on your passion project
  • Make it work projects. Just get it done, even if it is ugly, so you have the thing so you can work on other things.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how many projects aren’t too many projects.  We do what we do because we love the creative process and building things.  So go start another project, get creative and have fun on your makers quest.
